International pilot flies in for family friendly festival

INTERNATIONAL USA champion pilot, Mike McConville will be descending on the Luskintyre Airfield in October to give Australian pilots a run for their money at the 2016 Luskintyre RC Scale Festival. Mr McConville has been competing in remote control (RC) aerobatics since the age of 13, now in his 50’s he is a celebrated US RC aerobatic champion.

Mr McConville has been the US National Pattern Aerobatic Champion, US Scale Aerobatic Nation Champion, US Freestyle National Champion, Multi Time Finalist in the International Tournament of Champions and the Giant Scale Pylon Racing F1 World Champion.

Pilots to showcase the thrill of flying at Luskintyre

World class Aussie pilot Peter Goff will be amongst both seasoned and amateur model aircraft pilots showcasing the exhilaration of flying remote control scale aircraft at this year’s Luskintyre RC Scale Festival.

The three-day aerial extravaganza, from 28-30 October, at the Luskintyre Airfield in the stunning Hunter Valley is any modeller enthusiast’s dream, with plenty of flying time and replicas to watch, plus events to interest the general public.

Run by the Flying Scale Aircraft Association of NSW and supporting the local Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, the Luskintyre RC Scale Festival will showcase some of the best models in the world, from scale jets and gliders, to floatplanes and flight line.
